Airworks sponsor house building in Africa

Airworks recently sponsored builder Roy Chisnall to help the Habitat for Humanity charity. Roy set off to South Africa in early September, 2009 to support a project that has so far provided shelter for 11,000 people.
Roy and the 12 strong team arrived with the mission of building a brick house, with a tiled roof, windows and doors in only 5 days. The team immediately had their work cut out as torrential rain set in on day one. However, the team persevered and completed the project in a staggering 4 days before an emotional ceremony handing over the house to the new owners family.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian charity, their aim is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness and to provide decent shelter to some of the poorest areas in the world.
"Habitat has built and renovated more than 300,000 homes around the world, providing more than 1.5 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter."
Airworks have been extremely proud to support such a valuable cause and wish Roy and the Habitat for Humanity charity the best of luck with future projects.
